β A sangeet (Hindi and Sanskrit for music) is a common celebratory pre-wedding event, particularly in North Indian and Punjabi cultures. Its goal is fun, bonding, and letting loose before the formal wedding ceremony.
π΅ Music from a DJ will span Bollywood, Eastern, and Western hits.
π» Of course, drinks of all kinds will be served.
βπ½ Mehndi (Hindi and Urdu for henna) artists will be available to apply intricate ink-like designs on your hands and arms.
β Mehndi is a reddish-brown paste made from powdered leaves of the henna plant - it symbolizes beauty, joy, and good luck, and is often done as a pre-wedding ceremony in South Asian and Middle Eastern cultures. The designs typically last on the skin for about 1-3 weeks.

𧑠Haldi (turmeric ceremony)

π¨ A short ceremony where friends and family apply haldi (Hindi for turmeric) to the groom and bride
β The haldi ceremony is a common pre-wedding ritual, especially in Hindu and Sikh cultures, A paste is made from turmeric, sandalwood, rosewater, and oil, and applied to the groomβs and brideβs face and arms. It symbolizes auspiciousness, blessings, good luck, and protection from evil spirits.
π₯ Street food will be served which includes dishes commonly found on the streets of India.
πΉ Drinks will be served including cocktails, beer, chai, and more.
π Shaadi (wedding) ceremony/reception
π 6 - 11pm
π₯» The main event! The shaadi (Hindi and Urdu for wedding) ceremony will have pujarinein (Hindi for female priests) and Hindu rituals.
π₯ After, Indian food and π· drinks, of course, will be served.
